September: The Edge of Adventure
Adventure is a word we often reserve for far-off destinations.
We picture backpacks and boarding passes, passports stamped with stories of new landscapes. But adventure isn’t just about going somewhere new, it’s about stepping into the unknown.
And stepping into the unknown almost always comes with fear.
That’s why it’s so difficult to say yes to adventure. I hope my story and these reflections will help you gain clarity on the ways adventure is calling you - and I hope you’ll create space to truly listen to the whispers of your soul.
Six years ago, I answered my first adventurous call.
I felt that fear deeply in 2018 when I quit my HR executive role in NYC with no plan and a one-way ticket to Mexico. It was terrifying to let go of stability, but that decision changed the entire trajectory of my life. I spent nearly a year traveling through Mexico, Europe, and Southeast Asia, ending the adventure with two months in Thailand and one month in Vietnam. I didn’t know what my future would hold, but I knew I had to say yes to the unknown.
Over the past two weeks, I returned to Thailand and Vietnam for the first time since that trip. It was a homecoming to the version of me who once leapt without a roadmap, trusting that life would guide her. This trip reconnected me with that version of me. The version of me that craved a life beyond the societal expectations, searching for deeper meaning. This trip was so much more than just a vacation. It reminded me that adventures call us because our souls are ready to expand. The leaps I’ve taken have planted the seeds for everything I’ve built since: from Friendship Club in NYC to the soulful community we’ve nurtured here in LA through Growth Club.
Now, we’re at another edge. It’s time to grow again, to honor what’s ending, and to step into what’s next:
For the past year, Growth Club has been our boldest adventure.
It started as an idea: a place where people could gather around a table, share a meal, and connect on a soul-deep level. A space where strangers became friends, where hearts cracked open, and where growth didn’t have to feel so lonely.
We didn’t know what it would become. We just knew that community mattered.
Twelve months later, Growth Club has become a home for countless conversations, workshops, and transformations. Together, we’ve celebrated bold moves, held space for tender emotions, and reminded each other that growth gets accelerated when stories are shared in safe spaces.
What’s next:
Carly recently completed her Integrative Breathwork training and is now sharing 1:1 and group sessions at no cost. You can explore her Breathwork series on Spotify for an introduction to the practice. She’s also working with a small group of clients who are writing their books or preparing for their first TEDx Talk, supporting them in bringing their ideas to life.
If you’d like to connect for a 1:1 Impact Discovery call or breathwork session to help clarify your vision, you can find a time here.
Sana is deepening her podcast, Thriving in Love - and expanding her offerings into Conscious Matchmaking for self aware, emotionally mature humans who are craving more than surface level dating apps. Sana is partnering with Superbloom to host in person dating experiences in LA.
If you’re ready to date differently and attract souls that align with your frequency, apply for SOUL to SOUL; a mindful dating experience in LA.
I want to invite you to explore your own next adventure and to meet the fear that comes with it. Fear is part of the journey, not proof that you’re on the wrong path.
What adventure is calling you? Maybe it’s a leap across continents, or maybe it’s a quieter, more profound journey inward. Maybe it’s finally starting the creative project you’ve been dreaming of, or having a brave conversation that changes everything.
Here are some prompts to reflect on this week:
What’s been tugging at your curiosity lately—even if it feels scary?
What endings or transitions in your life are making space for something new?
How would you move if you trusted yourself fully, even in the face of fear?
What kind of support or community could help you feel grounded as you leap?
Who can you share your adventure dreams with so you don’t have to go it alone?
Growth Club was born out of that same courage, and this past year has been our wildest, most rewarding adventure yet. Thank you for being part of it. We’re so grateful for the meals shared, the stories told, and the courage we’ve witnessed. And we can’t wait to see where your journey leads you next.
If your next step is exploring love, intimacy, or your voice in the world, Carly and I would be honored to walk alongside you. Reach out to us anytime. This community will always be here, no matter where our adventures lead all of us.
