May: Dreams That Ignite Us

Dreams are not just whimsical wishes — they are callings from your highest self.

This month, we invite you to reconnect with your dreams, both the ones that light you up in the daylight and the ones that visit you in the quiet of night. Dreams are the purest reflection of your soul’s deepest desires and potential. They are not accidents; they are invitations.

When we were children, dreaming came naturally to us. We dreamed of becoming astronauts, dancers, writers, magicians — there were no limits to what we could imagine for ourselves. Somewhere along the way, though, many of us were taught to "be realistic" or "play it safe." The magic of dreaming often got pushed aside in favor of practicality.

But what if the real practicality lies in listening to those original dreams?

I had a powerful experience with this in 2021. I was journaling on a random afternoon about dreams I had when I was younger, and I found myself writing pages and pages about a dream I had completely forgotten: Living in my own apartment in New York City, dating a man I loved who was kind and successful, going for brunch with my girlfriends on weekends, and running my own company.

At that point, I had already manifested so much of that vision — I was living in NYC, running my own company, navigating busy schedules to meet up with girlfriends — but I had skipped over one important piece: living on my own.

I went straight from living with my parents in New Jersey to getting married and moving in with my husband in the city. I missed a crucial developmental stage: building a home and life entirely of my own. The dream kept resurfacing over and over again in my journaling sessions, and I knew it had to be for a reason. Still, I had no idea what to do with it.

It felt selfish, reckless, even absurd — I was married! Wasn’t it too late? The dream haunted me until I finally mustered the courage to share it with my husband, doing my best to explain it lovingly. I rambled nervously, half-expecting judgment. Instead, he took my face in his hands, looked into my eyes, and said:"Babe, do you want your own apartment?"

In that moment, it was like a bright light opened up inside me. I realized my childhood dream wasn't silly, selfish, or lost — it was still alive, still guiding me.

We ended up living in our own apartments in New York City for a year, and it turned out to be the most romantic year of our lives. We learned more about ourselves as individuals, healed old wounds, and deepened our love for each other in ways we could never have anticipated.

If I had abandoned that dream — if I had dismissed it as "impractical" or "wrong" — I would have missed one of the greatest growth portals of my life and relationship. Dreams aren’t just nostalgic fantasies. They are soul messages. They show us what’s missing, what’s possible, and what parts of us still long to be fulfilled. They connect us back to the most free, authentic, trusting parts of ourselves: our inner child.

We invite you to not only remember your dreams — but to honor them. To listen, and to act. They are the breadcrumbs leading you back home to yourself. Dreams connect us directly to the part of us who knew we were capable of magic, creation, and infinite possibility.

They are not frivolous; they are sacred.

When we create a game plan to make those dreams a reality, no matter how impractical or indulgent it may feel, we are actually honoring our soul's original blueprint. We are saying yes to life. We are saying yes to ourselves.

I hope you give yourself full permission to dream — loudly, boldly, and vividly — and to start crafting a life that honors those dreams without shame or apology.

Dreams aren’t selfish or reckless — they are sacred invitations to become more fully ourselves.

Practical Tips for Dreamers

Make Space for Dreaming: Schedule 10 minutes a day to sit quietly with yourself — no phones, no distractions. Journal or simply let your mind wander.

Get Specific: Write your dream out in vivid detail. Where are you? How does it feel? What does your day look like? The more specific you are, the more your subconscious can help guide you there.

Break It Down: Big dreams can feel overwhelming. Break yours into micro-steps you can start today. Remember, clarity comes through action.

Protect Your Energy: Not everyone will understand your dream — and that’s okay. Share your vision only with those who can hold it with love.

Celebrate Tiny Wins: Every small step toward your dream deserves to be celebrated. This builds momentum and rewires your brain for success.
